11/15/2020 — Parable of the Talents
Fun Fact

It is instructive to note that the English word "talent" is derived from this parable. Although the bible reading says that the servants are given bags of gold but they actually received multiples of a specific weight of money each. And this weight of money is called a talent, thus the story is also known as the parable of the talents.

The parable is about a man who went on a journey and entrusted his wealth to his servants: "To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability."
