Fun Fact

The Bible describes the Lord God as "a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29) which is why Scripture often uses it as a symbol of the
presence of God. Biblical examples of fire as a symbol of God's presence include the burning bush and the Shekinah Glory in
the book of Exodus, Ezekiel's vision in the book of Ezekiel, as an instrument of God's judgment in the book of Numbers, and
as a sign of His power in the book of Judges and 1 Kings.
Fire is a wonderful picture of the work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is like a fire in at least three ways: He brings God's
presence, God’s passion, and God’s purity.
