Fun Fact

Luke 3 contains an account of the preaching of John the Baptist as well as a genealogy of Jesus. The Expositor's Greek Testament states that in this chapter "the ministry of the new era opens". Through John's message, Matthew introduces the "Kingdom of Heaven". Ultimately in Luke, Herod wants to kill John, but was afraid of the people. John the Baptist was executed by beheading by Herod Antipas on the request of Herodias' daughter. His disciples buried his remains and told Jesus.
